Invisalign for Aloha — Clear Aligners, ~10 Minutes via TV Highway

The drive from 185th Avenue in Aloha to our Hillsboro office is about 10 minutes east via TV Highway (OR-8) and Cornell Road. That short trip is one of the main reasons Aloha adults pick East Wind for Invisalign — it slots into a lunch break or a school pickup window without much friction.

Most of the Invisalign questions I get from Aloha patients sound the same as the Hillsboro ones: will it show on Zoom, how long does it really take, and how honest is the cost. Direct answers below. Honest disclaimer first: Invisalign won’t fix severe rotations or major bite changes — those still go to braces or orthognathic surgery. We won’t recommend it for severe Class III bites either.

Three doctors at our Hillsboro office serve Aloha patients — Dr. Ostovar, Dr. Gvozden, and Dr. Youngblood — so same-week scheduling is realistic even for sedation cases or surgical placements. Invisalign treatment is led by Dr. Ostovar.

Hablamos espanol. Aloha has a substantial Spanish-first patient population and our team handles Invisalign consultations, ClinCheck plan reviews, financial discussions, and aligner check-ins directly in Spanish.

How Invisalign Actually Works

The system uses a series of clear medical-grade polyurethane aligners (Align Technology calls the material SmartTrack). You wear each set 20-22 hours per day for 1-2 weeks, then switch to the next. They come out for eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing, and flossing.

The treatment plan is built in software called ClinCheck — a virtual simulation showing every tooth’s planned movement from start position to final result. We approve the plan before any aligners are manufactured. The same iTero scan that captures your starting position is used to print the aligner series.

Most cases also get small tooth-colored composite bumps (attachments) bonded to specific teeth so the aligners get grip for rotations and tipping. They are color-matched to enamel, read as natural tooth at conversational distance, and come off at the end with a polishing bur in about 5 minutes.

The American Association of Orthodontists considers clear aligner therapy effective for mild-to-moderate cases — crowding, gaps, common bite issues. Severe cases still go to braces or surgery.

Driving from Aloha

From the 185th Ave / TV Highway intersection: TV Highway (OR-8) East → continue past Hillsboro Stadium → North on Cornelius Pass Rd → right on Cornell Rd → right on NE Shaleen St. ~10 minutes in normal traffic.

Alternate via US-26: North on 185th to US-26 East → exit Cornell Road → right on NE Shaleen St. About 12 minutes, often less in afternoon counter-commute.

Free parking directly in front of the office.

What the Process Looks Like

Step 1 — Consultation + iTero Scan (45 min, free)

Photos, intraoral exam, iTero 3D scan, conversation about what’s bothering you. You see a ClinCheck simulation of the projected end position.

Step 2 — Plan Review + Pricing (1 week later)

Written treatment plan: number of aligners, total months, exact price. Insurance benefit verified, financing options walked through. You approve before anything is ordered.

Step 3 — Attachment Bonding + First Aligners

Attachments bonded (about 30 min). First 4-6 aligner sets handed over. Wear 20-22 hours/day, switch every 1-2 weeks.

Step 4 — Check-Ins Every 6-8 Weeks (15-20 min each)

Tracking checks, next aligner sets, photos. If teeth aren’t following the plan, we order refinement aligners.

Step 5 — Refinement + Vivera Retainers

Most cases need a 4-8 week refinement series for fine-tuning. Then custom Vivera retainers (made by Invisalign) for nightly wear long-term.

Honest Cost Range (2026)

| Case Type | Typical Cost (2026) |
|—|—|
| Limited / minor case (Invisalign Lite) | $3,000-$5,000 |
| Moderate case (most adults) | $4,500-$6,500 |
| Comprehensive / complex case | $6,500-$7,500+ |
| Invisalign Teen | $4,000-$6,500 |

$4,500-$7,500 for full Invisalign treatment as of 2026 — that is the honest range. Many dental plans (Delta Dental, MODA, Pacific Source, OHP for some Aloha pediatric patients) include $1,000-$2,500 of lifetime orthodontic coverage. We verify your benefit before you commit. CareCredit (0% for 24 months), Cherry, and Sunbit cover the rest as monthly payments. VIP Membership ($299/yr) gives 15% off Invisalign — about $825 off a $5,500 case.

Who Is a Good Candidate

Mild-to-moderate crowding, gaps, overbite, underbite, crossbite. The non-negotiable is wearing the aligners 20-22 hours per day. They only work when they’re in your mouth.

Cases we refer to ortho or surgery:

  • Severe skeletal Class III bites (lower jaw forward of upper)
  • Major rotations of canines or molars
  • Cases needing extraction-driven space closure with significant bodily movement
  • Patients who can’t commit to the daily wear hours
  • If your case is borderline, we’ll show you the ClinCheck simulation and the limits at the consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions — Invisalign Aloha

Are dental implants placed at family dental offices in Aloha — and the same for Invisalign?

For Aloha residents looking for clear aligners, most family dental offices in the area can plan and place Invisalign — including ours. The certification is open to general dentists, not just orthodontists. East Wind handles consultations, ClinCheck plan approval, attachment bonding, check-ins, and Vivera retainer delivery in-house. For severe Class III bites or surgical-orthodontic cases, we refer to ortho.

How long is the typical Invisalign timeline for an Aloha patient?

12-18 months for a typical adult case, with check-ins every 6-8 weeks. Aligner changes happen at home every 1-2 weeks. Mild crowding finishes in 6 months on Invisalign Lite. Complex cases run 18-24 months. Most cases need a 4-8 week refinement series at the end for fine-tuning, then nightly Vivera retainer wear long-term to hold the result.

Do Aloha-area Invisalign providers accept Oregon Health Plan?

OHP coverage for orthodontics is limited to medically necessary cases for patients under 21 (significant bite issues, cleft palate, etc.) — not adult cosmetic alignment. We accept OHP for the qualifying pediatric cases and process the prior authorization. Most adult Aloha Invisalign cases are paid via dental insurance ortho rider ($1,000-$2,500 lifetime), CareCredit, Cherry, Sunbit, or HSA/FSA. Call (503) 614-0198 and we’ll check your specific benefit before the consult.

What’s the closest Aloha-area provider for same-day Invisalign consultations?

East Wind Dental Care is about 10 minutes from 185th and TV Highway via OR-8 East and Cornell Road. We can usually schedule Invisalign consults within 1-2 weeks; same-day is occasional, usually a Tuesday or Thursday morning if there’s a hygiene cancellation. Free parking out front. The consult itself is 45 minutes — iTero scan, ClinCheck preview, and a written cost estimate before you leave.

Can Aloha residents see a Hillsboro Invisalign provider on referral?

No referral is needed for Invisalign. You can call directly. If you have a primary dentist in Aloha who is not an Invisalign provider, they may suggest us — we work with several Aloha-area general dentists for cases that need iTero/ClinCheck planning. We coordinate care so your regular cleanings stay where you are while we handle the Invisalign work.

Is bone work or extraction needed before most Aloha Invisalign cases?

For typical adult cases, no. Invisalign moves teeth within the existing bone — no surgical prep needed. Some cases (severe crowding with no extraction space) do need premolar extractions before Invisalign, but that is the minority. We’ll review your panoramic X-ray and CBCT (if needed) at the consult and tell you upfront. We won’t recommend Invisalign for severe Class III bites — those need ortho or orthognathic surgery.
